Helping With Recipe Formulation & Processing Technology In The Non-Dairy Market

When a producer of non-dairy ingredients approached us for help in launching a range of non-dairy products in the UK market we were very happy to take on the project.

A key objective was to add value to products that were already being used. We were involved from the start, working closely across departments including Senior Management, Development and Marketing.

The specific challenges were around recipe formulation and processing technology, in the context of using vegan only ingredients. We worked in collaboration with our partner, Hydrosol, to formulate a customised range of vegan stabilisers that worked for our customer’s products.  This involved several visits to Hydrosol’s state-of-the-art application based pilot plant in Germany where recipes were tested knowing that we could scale up to production trials with confidence.  In addition to helping formulate our customer’s products, we were also able to help them find a suitable manufacturer.

Our customer’s products are now among the top selling lines in the non-dairy alternative sector and the brand is growing in strength with plans for more product launches in 2019.
