We supply a wide range of wholesale xanthan gum, primarily of European origin, working in close partnership with Jungbunzlauer (JBL), who have been producing Xanthan Gum in Austria for almost 4 decades. We highly value the quality and consistency of their product and can offer our customers the assurance that our European Xanthan Gum is non-GMO, ethically sourced and fully complies with EU and proposed UK legislation on the maximum level for ethylene oxide.

For the increasing number of food manufacturers looking to reduce the total emissions in their life cycle analysis, the more local the sourcing the better. In addition, shorter supply chains bring the added advantage of less opportunity for disruption.

Xanthan gum is a cream or off-white coloured, odourless, free-flowing, fine powder. It is a hugely versatile hydrocolloid and widely used across the food sector, providing different functions across different applications. For example, in bakery it improves volume and texture and retains moisture in gluten free products. In sauces and dressings it can increase viscosity or ease of pouring, improve cling and stabilise emulsions (e.g. oil in water) and suspensions (e.g. herbs).

Our food grade xanthan gum guarantees a very high purity and is available in a range of particle sizes which we keep in stock in the UK:
